BMW recommends to use their coolant in every BMW and we cant agree more. We have seen some nasty things happen when customer cars come in with the auto parts stores green coolant. BMW Blue coolant seems to be safer on the internal passages of the engine and does not corrode. On top of that, BMW coolant is just as cheap as the big box stores alternative. It's a no brainer for us.
