Race German Upgraded S54 PTFE VANOS Oil Supply Line

The BMW S54 VANOS system operates using high-pressure engine oil, making the VANOS oil supply line a critical component of the system. The Race German Upgraded S54 VANOS Oil Supply Line replaces the factory line with a premium motorsport-grade assembly built from Aeroquip smooth-bore PTFE racing hose, MOCAL USA fittings, Techflex fire sleeve, and custom aerospace-grade titanium banjo bolts.

This isn't simply a replacement for an aging factory hose, we designed it as a serious upgrade for both street and track-driven S54 engines.

Aeroquip PTFE Racing Hose

At the heart of the assembly is Aeroquip smooth-bore PTFE racing hose with a stainless-steel braided exterior.

Traditional rubber hoses with textile reinforcement can expand under pressure and deteriorate from prolonged exposure to heat, oil, and the harsh environment of an engine bay. PTFE hose is widely used in high-performance brake and hydraulic applications because of its excellent combination of low weight, high strength, minimal expansion, temperature capability, and resistance to abrasion and environmental damage.

The Aeroquip PTFE hose features an impressive operating temperature range of:

-100°F to +450°F (-73°C to 232°C)

This makes it an excellent choice for the demanding conditions surrounding the S54 VANOS system.

Techflex High-Temperature Fire Sleeve

For another layer of protection, we've added an industry-leading Techflex fire sleeve around the hose. The sleeve helps protect the VANOS oil line from the extreme radiant heat found in the S54 engine bay while also providing additional abrasion protection.

Techflex Fire Sleeve Temperature Ratings:

• Minimum Continuous: -65°F / -54°C
• Maximum Continuous: 500°F / 260°C
• Melt Temperature: 2048°F / 1120°C

MOCAL USA Banjo Fittings

The hose assembly is terminated with premium MOCAL USA banjo fittings manufactured from high-quality steel with a protective plated finish.

These fittings were selected to complement the premium construction of the Aeroquip PTFE hose and provide a strong, reliable connection at each end of the VANOS oil supply line.

Custom Aerospace-Grade Titanium Banjo Bolts

We didn't stop at upgrading the hose.

Each kit includes two custom-machined, aerospace-grade titanium banjo bolts featuring a specialized two-oval-hole oil passage design. These bolts were specifically selected to complement the upgraded line while providing an exceptionally strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant replacement for the original hardware.

Applicable new crush washers are also included, giving you a complete hardware package for installation.
