Removing the O2 or oxygen sensor can be tricky. Overtime the sensor becomes corrorded in the exhaust system and using a regular open ended wrench can easily round off the corners. This specialized oxygen sensor socket has a cut out to go through the sensor wires and wrap completely around the hex head, reducing any slip. A must have tool in the box.
