Fall-Line Motorsports E46 M3 (S54) VANOS Delete Block-Off Plate

BMW's dual VANOS system allows for independent control of both the intake and exhaust camshaft timing, essentially optimizing engine performance across a wide range of engine speeds by adjusting when the valves open and close based on street driving conditions, resulting in improved low-end power delivery, fuel efficiency, and smoother idling compared to a standard fixed valve timing system. While useful on street cars, the VANOS system becomes a limitation on racers wanting to run very high duration camshafts for max high-rpm performance.

Part of Fall Line’s E46 M3 / E85 Z4M racing program, this VANOS block-off plate provides racers the ability to delete the S54 Dual VANOS system in order to fully adjust cam timing to get the maximum high-rpm performance without worrying about low speed performance.
