If you are switching from an airbag style steering wheel to a non airbag style steering wheel on your E30, then you will need this spacer. This is an OEM BMW replica part because the BMW part number is no longer available. Simply remove your airbag steering wheel and place this spacer around the steering column shaft and install the non airbag wheel.
