A common issue on the BMW Getrag G250 transmission is slop from the 5th and reverse gear.  BMW realized this, and made a solution with this comprehensive detent kit.  

Part of the problem is the sealing cover used by Getrag. This seal is the black cap that is supposed to prevent moisture from entering the detent shaft. However, over time it's become apparent these seals do allow for moisture to get into the shaft and cause corrosion on the pin, spring, and shaft walls. This kit has been specifically designed to address this seal issue and uses ZF sealing covers instead which will fit the G250 transmission the same as the Getrag supplied parts.

Included in this kit is new detent pins and springs for 5th gear and reverse along with new sealing caps and snap rings.
