Custom made and thermoformed from durable ABS plastic, this headlight duct is designed for performance-focused E46 builds that need a direct source of outside air for a cold air intake, turbocharger inlet, brake cooling system, or other custom ducting setup.

The duct features a 3-inch outlet on the rear, allowing you to easily connect standard 3" ducting and route incoming air directly where it's needed. Using the headlight opening provides a large, forward-facing source of fresh air that's ideal for track cars, turbo builds, and dedicated performance applications.

Unlike universal headlight ducts, the Race German duct is designed to work with the original BMW headlight housing. It also retains provisions for installing the factory side marker, helping maintain a clean, OEM-inspired appearance instead of looking like a generic opening cut into the front of the car.

Installation Requirements

This product is a duct insert and requires modification of an original E46 headlight assembly.

The factory headlight housing must be retained. To install the Race German Headlight Duct, the original clear headlight lens and internal lighting components must be removed from the housing. The duct is then installed into the factory housing.

The factory side marker can be transferred to the duct, giving the finished assembly a much cleaner and more integrated appearance.

This product does not include a complete headlight housing. The original housing and applicable side marker must be reused.

These ducts are designed ONLY for early-style E46 Coupe headlights featuring the curved, semi-circle-style side marker shown in the product photos.

Compatible applications include:

• BMW E46 Coupe – Early / Pre-Facelift Headlight Style
• BMW E46 M3 Coupe
• BMW E46 M3 Convertible

Due to differences in headlight design, these ducts will not fit every E46 headlight assembly.

Please compare your existing headlight and side-marker shape with the reference photos before ordering.

Driver & Passenger Side Options
